In 1978, Andy Parkin, Tony (Tache) Freeman and myself flew from Britain to New York, bought an old station-wagon and headed west, across the United States, to California and Yosemite National Park.
Along the way, we climbed at the Shawangunks and around Boulder, Colorado.
We also climbed Castleton Tower, in Castle Valley, near Moab in Utah.
